The front side of the Buffalo gold coin features the profile of a Native American Indian, a mixture of features from three chiefs of different tribes, Big Tree, Iron Tail, and Two Moons. The reverse side of the gold bullion piece has the golden buffalo depicted with the words "United States of America". The Bison is believed to be named Black Diamond, who lived in the New York City Central Park Zoo during the early 1900s. Also this American gold coin keeps the recognized phrase "In God We Trust".
