Peace Dollar
Silver Peace Dollars (1921-1934) were minted in Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco during the year 1921 to 1928 and then again in 1934 and 1935. Peace dollars were minted to commemorate the signing of the peace treaty between the U.S. and Germany at the end of World War I. The production was stopped in 1928 due to low demand and output of the coins and was only resumed in 1934.
Because Silver Peace Dollars were amongst the last silver dollar coins produced they make for an attractive addition to your silver portfolio.
